Get your Sew On!!

This year I promised myself I would take steps to learn how to utilize my sewing machine and get into DIY projects. Sadly, my wedding gift (a brand new sewing machine) continues to remain in its box unopened, tucked away in the farthest most part of our hallway closet. Basically, I am making no progress in achieving master seamstress. Thanks to my mom though I have a nice "get started sewing kit" filled with all sorts of goodies, which just looking through make me feel more motivated. So today I spent time researching lessons available in the city. And what do you know...there are others out there just like me who have dreams of creating their first project runway master piece. And even better there are services who help people like me get this thing going. Craft Haven Collective is a small spin off organization that offers weekly classes of various levels to help you catch the sewing bug. Im looking at signing up for the "Uber beginners class" a course that walks you through the basics of machines, patterns, and gives you some hands on experience to start learning technique. Cant wait!
