Things I've learned thus far..

1. it is culturally unacceptable to be a work- a -holic. In the office 10ish ..lunch 12..home 4-5-6p. no overtime.

2. wear whatever you want. Literally. couple weekends ago I saw a guy shopping in a vibrant neon pink one piece leatard. hmmm. no shame. very normal here.

3. LA we have traffic here we have Protests.

4. Do not ever plan on finding a parking spot. If you have a car you "Will" get tickets. & Do use public transportation.

5. All parks are dog parks.

6. Yes you can Swing dance in Golden Gate with 100 other people for free

7. It is not San Fran. or Frisco. SF is ok and the full name always goes.

8. A weeks produce can be bought for $6 at Casa de las Lucaz or any other ethnic shopping spot.

9. Yoga yoga Yoga. They are like Starbucks . One on every corner.

10. If you dont read. Start. lots and lots of indie bookstores.

11. Yelp. & Craigslist are a must. Search "Free"

12. secret: its more sunny here that SoCalers believe..shhh

13. If you live in SF your not from SF

14. 90% of your pay check goes to rent.

15. beware 5 way streets. blinking yellow lights mean do not enter. and you will not get the finger if you cut in front of pedestrians.

16. Wine snobs , Coffee snobs, book snobs, movie snobs, and every other kind of snob move to SF.

17. Never have an opinion that is solid. Always be inclusive.. Mantra: "my perspective works for me yours works for you. There is no right or wrong"

18. Recycle. Bring your own Grocery bag. Love anything save the planet.

19. There are many San Francisco's depending on which neighborhood you live in.

20. Life is life here just like anywhere else.
